CMMC LEVEL 2 — CLOSE THE GAPS THAT BLOCK PROGRESS

CMMC remediation support helps you close priority gaps with practical technical and process guidance — turning a gap register into implemented, documentable progress.

Gap analysis = find requirement gaps and prioritize them. Remediation = close those gaps in systems, processes, and ownership. Consulting = broader hands-on advisory across multiple workstreams.

When you are ready for formal certification, brs can help coordinate with an Authorized C3PAO. brs prepares your organization for assessment. Official certification is performed by an Authorized C3PAO.

CMMC Remediation Support

Remediation support is execution help against known gaps — configuring or redesigning controls, fixing process breakdowns, clarifying ownership, and producing the evidence trail that shows the fix is real.

It follows (or runs tightly with) gap analysis. Gap analysis tells you what is missing. Remediation helps you close it.

This is preparatory consulting by brs. It is not an official CMMC certification assessment.

What It Is

Strong fit if you:

• Already have a prioritized gap list (from brs or elsewhere) and need help closing it
• Know the top blockers — access control, logging, IR evidence, MFA, media protection, etc. — and need practical implementation guidance
• Have an MSP/IT team that can execute with specialist direction
• Need remediation sequenced so SSP/POA&M and SPRS claims stay honest

Less ideal if you do not yet know your gaps — start with gap analysis — or if you only need early orientation — start with readiness.

Who Needs It

Typical remediation support areas (scoped to your engagement):

• Priority gap closure plans — technical and process options that fit your environment
• Implementation guidance — with your IT/MSP, not generic checklists
• Evidence capture — so closed gaps stay demonstrable
• POA&M updates — as items move from open → in progress → closed
• Coordination with documentation — handoffs to SSP & POA&M support when narrative must catch up

What this is not: an assessment outcome promise or a full replacement for internal IT ownership.

What’s Included

1. Align on the backlog — from gap analysis or an equivalent register
2. Sequence for impact — what blocks assessment readiness first
3. Design the fix — control/process options with owners and dependencies
4. Implement & verify — working sessions; confirm the fix operates
5. Evidence & doc sync — update artifacts, SSP/POA&M as needed
6. Reassess readiness — toward mock assessment or C3PAO coordination

How the Process Works

• Closed or materially advanced priority gaps
• Clearer ownership and operating procedures
• Evidence that supports the remediation story
• A cleaner path into SSP/SPRS updates, mock assessment, or formal certification prep

What You Receive

Finding gaps is only half the job. brs helps organizations close them without theater.

• Translate gap findings into executable remediation
• Keep fixes realistic for your stack and team capacity
• Tie technical/process changes to evidence and documentation
• When you are ready for formal certification, brs can help coordinate with an Authorized C3PAO

Official certification assessments are performed by an Authorized C3PAO.

Certified CMMC Professionals (CCPs) on the brs team help translate assessment expectations into practical prep.

brs is not a C3PAO.
